Suzy is Managing Director at Inspired Selection, she joined the company in May 2010. Suzy has been in publishing and recruitment since 2003; she is responsible for working with a range of senior and mid level roles across all types of publishing across both print and digital briefs.  Suzy has direct experience of publishing, having previously worked in rights, sales and marketing for Michael O’Mara and The Quarto Group, Inc.

Gail is an Executive Consultant, and joined Inspired Selection in August 2003. Gail is responsible for working with a range of senior and mid level roles across all types of publishing across both print and digital briefs. She has a background in publishing having worked for The Quarto Group, Inc in sales, marketing and buying roles, and holds the REC Diploma in Recruitment Practice.

Donald has been with Inspired Selection since 2003. With substantial experience in publishing at senior levels within Sales and Marketing roles at HarperCollins, Kingfisher and Abbey Home Media, Donald has significant industry knowledge, excellent contacts and has successfully recruited for a wide range of senior appointments, across all sectors of publishing and digital publishing. Donald holds the REC Diploma in Recruitment Practice.

Judy joined Inspired Selection in 2004 and has a Bachelor’s degree with honours in Environmental Sciences, as well as a Master’s degree in Palaeoecology. Judy has an editorial background, having worked in academic journal publishing, both in-house and on a freelance basis at Elsevier Science, Blackwell Publishing and Taylor & Francis. Judy has worked successfully on vacancies at mid-management level with a wide variety of clients across the UK. Judy holds the REC Certificate in Recruitment Practice.

Mel joined Inspired Selection in 2008 and has experience in both book and journal publishing. Mel worked at Taylor & Francis and Five Mile Press and is responsible for a range of mid level publishing appointments in all locations outside of London.  Mel holds the REC Certificate in Recruitment Practice.

 

International Team

Verity is a Senior Consultant who joined Inspired Selection in June 2009. Now based in Madrid, Verity is responsible for working with a range of mid-level to senior international roles across all types of publishing including both print and digital briefs. Previously Verity completed a Masters in Publishing studies and she speaks both French and Spanish.  Verity has worked in publishing sales and client liaison roles in Spain and Belgium giving her an excellent understanding of international business, an area which she is currently focussed on developing for clients and candidates of Inspired Selection.  She holds the REC Certificate in Recruitment Practice.
