Do you have experience in generating sales leads and an interest in journal publishing? This Sales Executive position provides an opportunity to join a leading academic publisher in the Oxford area, working in the company’s library sales team. Reporting to the European Journals Sales Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for helping drive online sales to new markets and territories throughout EMEA. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to attend conferences internationally on occasion, though the role will be largely office-based. Applicants will need to demonstrate some previous experience working in sales, and knowledge of publishing or academic library environments would be advantageous. Fluency in English is essential, and a good command of at least one other language from the territory is a prerequisite for application. You will • Identify opportunities for growth and develop new markets with academic and non-academic libraries throughout the territory • Promote online sales models • Work with the Sales Support Team to provide quotations and to analyse current revenues • Provide after sales support to customers • deal with Telesales/Telemarketing of online products • Maintain records on internal systems • Work with the Library Marketing team to Promote online sales models, and • Support the Sales Managers and Sales Executives as required. It is essential that you have excellent communication skills, the ability to prioritise tasks and the confidence, energy and drive to work on your own initiative, whilst also working well as part of a team.
