Our client is a prestigious international publisher of books, journals and electronic media for academic, educational and professional markets and they are looking for a talented Sales Representative to join their busy team in central London. As a Sales Representative you will be responsible for selling their list of social science textbooks into the Midlands and Wales. Key responsibilities will include promoting new products (print and electronic) to academics and librarians; selling new and backlist titles to the book trade and other retail outlets; maximising sales in territory, achieve sales targets and exceed previous year’s sales for territory; promote key texts to academics with the aim of securing adoptions. The successful candidate will have proven sales experience in academic publishing, excellent communication & negotiation skills, ability to prioritise your work and a willingness to travel. You should enjoy working in a target driven environment and be a great team player.
