This is a great opportunity for an experienced production editor with an extremely accurate eye for detail and design to work on one of the world's leading medical journals.

A major publishing house, based in London, has a vacancy for a Production Editor to work on their highly respected medical journal for a summer contract of 3 months. As Production Editor you will be responsible for overseeing the workflow for three specialty journals which involves: all aspects of page layout from text corrections of galleys, editorial styling and layout of text and graphics.

The ideal candidate for this role will have meticulous attention to detail and a good eye for layout and design. You will have a proven ability to work to tight deadlines and communicate effectively with internal and external contacts. Your technical skills will include an excellent knowledge of InDesign; sound experience of page layout; and a working knowledge of Photoshop, Illustrator, Word and Acrobat. Experience of using InCopy/Woodwing or Copydesk/QPS would also be an advantage.
