Are you a highly analytical candidate with an aptitude for maths/statistics and an interest in publishing? This Research and Information Coordinator role provides a unique opportunity to join a small team, providing a market research service within this respected journals publishing house. The team provides data, reports and analysis to staff to support strategic decision making about individual titles or groups of journals. Reporting areas include electronic usage, sales, citations and Impact Factors, market share, competitor intelligence and customer feedback. The role would suit a motivated candidate with a logical mind and a keen head for figures. A degree with some mathematical/statistical content, for example, as part of a dissertation or research project, would be an advantage. The successful candidate will be a strong problem solver with an aptitude to learn new programs and software, and will possess a high level of attention to detail, along with analytical and problem solving expertise, and strong communication skills. Experience working with surveys, and/or manipulating and analysing secondary data sources such as usage and sales data would be advantageous as would knowledge of the journal publishing industry.
