Our client is a leading educational publisher and they are looking for a Production Controller to join their busy team based in central London. Reporting in to the Production Director, as Production Controller you would be responsible for production of books and digital products. Key responsibilities would include: liaising with internal and external stakeholders; scheduling projects and maintaining updated version of all files; chose suitable print location, estimating and analysing print costs; assisting the Production Director with general administration and quality checking finished copies. The ideal candidate will have experience of working in book production within educational or academic publishing. You will be a graduate with some administrative and IT skills (Quark and InDesign in particular). You will have excellent communication, time-management & prioritisation skills and good numeracy. You will need to have the ability to stay calm under pressure as well as have an eye for detail.
