Our client, a leading children’s trade and educational publisher is looking to appoint an enthusiastic and highly organised Data Analyst to join the Marketing Department, working from their busy London office.

This role presents the right candidate with an opportunity to stamp their mark on how the department interprets and understands the data held by the company. This role will be responsible for ensuring that Direct Mail and Telemarketing campaigns are delivered accurately and on time. You will also ensure that data meets the needs of the business and is compliant with data protection regulations. Providing profiled customer lists you will ensure that this information is accurate and to deadline. Analysing campaign data to provide insight, report and make recommendations to the Marketing Managers on how to develop the business, is a key responsibility. Alongside this you must provide context and market information to allow campaign development and planning.

The successful candidate will have marketing analysis experience, preferably within a Direct Mail or retail environment and must also possess line management experience. Proficiency in all Microsoft packages is needed along with advanced level in Excel. Knowledge of SQL and AS/400 systems would be beneficial but is not essential. The ideal candidate should enjoy interpreting data and understand the importance of using data strategically, and be comfortable with producing high quality analysis and summary reports. As a marketing professional with experience of databases and/or data analysis, you will be a good communicator with excellent presentation skills and the ability to manage relationships and tight deadlines.
