Our client is a successful B2B publishers based in the UK. They are currently looking to recruit a Managing Editor to work on a range of books and business publications based with the financial and legal sectors. You will be managing projects from inception to completion. Your responsibilities here will include maintaining client contact throughout the process, chasing copy, sourcing images, commissioning articles, creating databases, sub-editing articles, ensuring all finalised projects are approved and formatted correctly.
You must be a strong communicator and relationship builder as you will have regular contact internally with the sales and marketing teams to ensure that each publication is promoted effectively on time and within budget. Externally you will also be communicating with agencies and event organisers.
You will also have proven creative skills and will be able to demonstrate that you have effective research skills to be able to come up with new profitable ideas needed by clients across the industries.
You will be managing a team and will be expected to develop, train and mentor them.
The ideal candidate will come with previous experience within the B2B publishing field. You will be flexible in your approach and come with a “can-do” attitude.
