If you have great sales skills within publishing and an international context this could be a fantastic opportunity for you. Our client is a market leading intellectual property owning, brand creation and management company and they are looking to appoint an experienced Rights Executive within their literary estates department. The department is responsible for managing the worldwide exploitation of literary estates through the licensing of copyrights including publishing rights, multimedia rights, licensed partwork rights and merchandising rights.

As Rights Executive you would be responsible for identifying, negotiating and closing the sale of rights agreements for specified literary estate brands; identifying new revenue streams for each brand and then negotiating and closing the sale of those agreements; supervising the licensing agents in regions specified ensuring they represent and promote the literary estates and oversee, approve and administer their deals. The role also presents the opportunity to travel, including attendance at relevant trade fairs too.

The successful candidate will have relevant publishing or licensing experience within an international sales/rights context. First class negotiating skills with strong organisational and communication skills are must haves. You will be a target orientated sales person who thrives on independence and self motivation. Fluency in at least one European language would be a distinct advantage.
