A leading provider of information resources recognised throughout the world is looking to appoint a Sales Manager to lead their sales team in France and to develop customer relationships. This is a permanent role based in our client’s Paris office. They offer an excellent salary and benefits package and the opportunity for a skilled sales manager to achieve results and contribute to the overall success of a renowned organisation.
Reporting to the General Manager in Paris you will be responsible for managing and motivating a sales team of c. 14 people. Your main duties will be to: increase the volume of sales and expand the customer base; liaise closely with the General Manager to develop strategy and prepare budgets; provide strategic planning to the Contracts department; coordinate all sales team activities delegating responsibilities across the team; sell products and services to customers and prospects; achieve the targets agreed and set each year; increase knowledge and understanding of the industry and customers’ needs; train and coach sales team to build relationships, sell effectively and win business; target competitors effectively; attend necessary customer visits, conferences, exhibitions, roadshows and seminars.
You must be articulate, with a good command of the English language and fluent French, have an aptitude for IT and experience of sales management and selling within a service-orientated environment. You will be able to demonstrate your ability to organize, motivate and manage your sales team. Above all, you will have the determination to lead the sales team in achieving sales targets, company commercial goals and to enhance the company reputation within the marketplace.
