Senior/Product Manager, Science – educational publishing – Oxford or London: Join a highly prestigious educational publisher working to create engaging digital and print resources for both teachers and learners. Based in either Oxford or central London, this Senior Product Manager role focuses on the company’s science offering for the UK secondary school and college markets, contributing to the business strategy and business planning for science and leading on the execution of those strategies. The Senior Product Manager will build an in-depth understanding of relevant markets, specifically teaching, learning and assessment in specific subjects, and design appropriate research plans to ensure products and services deliver real benefits and demonstrate a competitive advantage. Applicants will have a keen commercial sense and the ability to develop clear strategy and will have a proven track record delivering projects on schedule, on budget and to quality requirements. Strong leadership and team building skills are essential, as are the ability to network and influence. Applicants will be able to demonstrate the skill to balance a strong commercial focus with creative solutions for customers, and must demonstrate the ability to plan and monitor revenue and profit. Creative thinking is important for devising and communicating proposals for new projects that accurately reflect customer needs.
