Our client is a prestigious organisation whose publishing arm is a leading publisher of information for pharmacy and healthcare providers in both print and online formats. They are seeking a Sales Manager to join their Healthcare team in central London.

Reporting to the UK Business Development Manager, the Sales Manager will be responsible for growing subscription and licensing revenue streams whilst also maximising print sales in the Healthcare market predominantly within the UK and Europe. This will involve analysing the market and results, monitoring targets, driving sales, identifying opportunities, visiting key customers on a regular basis, and the ability to negotiate at a high level. It will be your duty to implement the sales strategy and ensure that content is integrated into the workflow either as a reference source or at the point of care. The Sales Manager will represent digital and print products to hospitals, primary care, pharmacies and independent healthcare providers, and will be responsible for managing and motivating 2 Sales Executives to whom you will effectively communicate overall sales strategy as indicated by the UK Business Development Manager.

The successful candidate will have a significant level of STM print and digital sales experience within a publishing environment. Previous licensing and subscription experience selling to Healthcare markets is essential. A proven track record of managing and motivating people is desirable but is not essential. With strong customer facing, marketing and presentation skills and the ability to work under pressure, the Sales Manager will have excellent knowledge of the UK Healthcare sector. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail and strong analytical skills with good written and verbal communication, as well as developed organisational and administrative skills. You will be comfortable working both autonomously and as part of a team and be able to demonstrate strong negotiation skills.
