Do you know what makes a great children’s book? If so, then this is the perfect opportunity for you!

My client, a leading trade publishing of both adult and children’s books is looking for an experienced Editor to join the children’s department. The purpose of this role is to take on full responsibility for the editorial quality and commercial viability of a list of new titles.

A senior and key role within editorial and the children’s teams, you will be responsible for a number of live titles, on-going development of presentations and sales materials. You will be required to proactively drive new ideas, manage licensor relationships as well as actively participate in licensor pitches and creative meetings.

You will be a creative and commercially aware individual, with excellent communication and outstanding editorial skills. You will possess first class organisation and negotiation skills and can work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

Knowledge and experience of non-fiction publishing and good industry contacts would be useful.
