Are you looking for a varied and interesting new sales role in academic publishing? Our client, a prestigious publisher with offices in the SE, is looking to take on an experienced sales person to promote their product list to academics; managing relationships to maximize adoption business and promote new digital and custom content delivery options. Key responsibilities include: * managing Salesforce data input, especially samples and feedback; campus calling (1 day a week during term-time); * outreach to academics through eMarketing; * researching course data in new fields, or where data may need updating; * managing the annual catalogue production process, including budgeting, schedules, relations with printers and editing as required; and * recording and reporting on sales leads and progress using internal systems. The ideal candidate will have academic sales experience, and those who have previously spent time campus-calling or managing a territory will have a distinct advantage. A publishing/academic background is preferred, however sales candidates from other backgrounds will also be considered. Knowledge and/or experience of Salesforce or a similar contact management system is desirable, as is competency with Microsoft Office, QuarkXpress and Dreamweaver.
