Do you have experience in e-marketing within academic publishing Our client is looking to recruit a eMarketing Executive in their journals division to assist the busy eMarketing Projects team in promoting their products and services online to our customers, editors, authors and society partners. The role requires proven CSS/ XHTML coding skills and a flair for design for the online environment. The e-Marketing Executive will support colleagues with: *website updates to ensure that product and services information is accurate, up-to-date and conforms to style guidelines; * planning and set-up of online campaigns to promote products and services; * promotion of special offers, events and journal content to registrants of email alerting services and through web-links and banner adverts; * building and maintaining and development of a number of websites for academic societies, in liaison with society partners; and * designing and building web pages and portals to support products and services. The successful candidate will have practical experience of using CSS/XHTML to build web pages and websites, the ability to accurately hand-code and a flair for design for the online environment. An ability and experience in building sites on PHP-based CMS systems such as WordPress or Expression Engine would be an advantage. Applicants should have an awareness of developing trends in e-marketing and website design/build best practice, and enjoy producing effective online copy. Great organisational skills are essential to effectively prioritise workload and plan project work, and candidates must work well on their own initiative and collaboratively (with internal and external contacts). Relevant IT skills include familiarity with image manipulation software (e.g. Photoshop or Fireworks) and HTML editing software (e.g. Dreamweaver), core Office software such as MS Word, Excel and Outlook, and a willingness to learn a range of in-house tools.
