We’ve got that GDPR-ready look!
Whether you’ve been living and breathing it since 2016, or feel like you’ve just been caught up in its whirlwind, GDPR is here and Inspired are ready!
We’ve been working hard over a period of several months to make sure that we are looking after your data securely and so that when you’re working with us you can rest assured that your personal details are under control.
We are fully compliant with GDPR and here are some FAQs on GDPR on what it all means and, more importantly, what it means for you:
1. What is GDPR?
The General Data Protection Regulation becomes effective on 25 May 2018 and replaces the 1995 EU Data Protection Directive. It’s here to put us all, as data subjects, back in control of what happens to our data.
2. I’m signed up to the Inspired Selection Vacancy Update Service. What does this mean for me?
If you have signed up to receive email alerts from us about vacancies, you will have received an email from us asking for your consent to remain on the email list. You can provide your consent easily with the click of the YES button and then don’t need to do anything else. If you no longer wish to receive them, just click the NO button and we hope to see you again in the future.
If you have any questions with this, please just give us a call on 020 3668 6733.
3. I have registered with Inspired and they have my CV on file on their database. What does this mean for me?
At Inspired, we have sent emails to everyone who has a profile on our database. This email will give you the option to say YES – giving consent for us to retain those details in order to keep in touch – or No if you no longer wish to remain in touch and we would then delete your profile. Again, it’s a simple click of the button and that’s all you need to do.
If you can’t find this email or have had any questions with this, please just give us a call on 020 3668 6733.
4. I haven’t registered with Inspired but I would like to. Will it be more difficult now that GDPR is in place?
We would love to hear from you! You can send your CV to us via our website and the relevant consultant will be in touch. We will ask you to confirm that we have your consent to hold the CV, and your details, to be absolutely sure that you’re aware that we have it. We can then meet you and find out more about your profile and career motivations – just like we have always done!
We’ve worked hard to keep you safe and look forward to talking all things publishing-career related with you.
Just like a puppy for Christmas GDPR is not just for the 25th! It’s for life. We are committed to continually reviewing our data in order to always be the compliant publishing recruiter of choice.
