Why register my cv on the Inspired Selection Website?

By registering your CV with Inspired Search & Selection and ticking the consent for our website to hold your details, it will allow the team at Inspired to contact you about new roles that we are working on for our clients.

What happens once I upload my CV?

Once  you have created an account and attached your CV you can start applying for roles through Inspiredselection.com. The team will also be alerted to your account and also be sent your CV and you may be contacted by one of the team here to arrange a registration meeting. Please note that at this current time during COVID 19 this may take longer and you may not hear from us unless you have applied for a role.

What is a registration meeting?

This is a face to face, Zoom or telephone meeting which normally lasts 30 minutes. Currently we are only operating Zoom meetings. You will meet with the most appropriate consultant at Inspired to talk through your current and past experience in order for us to get a really clear picture of your professional background. We will look to identify the kind of opportunities you are most interested in so that we can be in touch with roles that match your criteria.

As part of the registration process we will also ask you to complete a registration form to demonstrate your consent for us to hold your details and introduce you to companies for employment. Please also find our Privacy Policy here for reference:

Proof of your eligibility to work in the UK will also be checked. This needs to be a passport and if you hold a visa we will also need to see a copy of this.

You will then be added to our database and again we will ask you for consent to keep your data on our database.

Great, what happens next?

Now you need to sign up to the email alerts via the website if you haven’t already, using the Vacancy Update Service. As soon as you see a relevant or interesting job then click the button “apply now”. Alternatively, you can call or email the relevant consultant to ask for more details on this vacancy.

Occasionally you will also receive an email or call from Inspired Selection telling you about new roles that have just come available, if you are registered on our database.

Using this two-pronged approach ensures we are keeping in touch, allowing us to help you find a new role as quickly as possible.

We will brief you on all roles that you are interested in and you can decide if you want to formally apply. During this briefing we will also ask questions to make certain you are presenting the right level of experience and competency required for the specific role, to ensure it is in line with your career aspirations.

If the role is not quite what you want, no problem, let us know and we will leave that one there and move onto the next one…

The role is a match! What’s next?

After briefing you fully we will ask you to write a covering letter which is tailored to the specific vacancy and company.

We will also ask you to confirm your current salary, confirm what salary you would require for this role and also your notice period.

Once we have all this information we will then put together an application for you and then submit this straight to the hiring manager.

Then we will organise interviews, get your prepared for these and gather feedback from you and the line manager after each stage.

I have sailed through all that and they want to offer me the role?

Congratulations! We will make sure that you are presented with a fully comprehensive offer including all the terms and conditions including working hours, benefits and base salary.

We will also ask you to send us over two references, sometimes this can be more but should cover your work for the last 5 years. If you have not worked for 5 years yet, then a personal reference or tutor/lecturer would also be acceptable.

Happy and ready to accept?

We will double-check your contact details are correct then when you have confirmed this and that you are happy for us to pass these on to the employer, we will send these over.

The employer will then be in direct contact with you and send you your new contract to sign. At this point you should double-check all terms are as you expect and when happy send this back to them signed!

Ready to start your new role?

We will check in on your first day, after your first month and after 3 months to make sure your new job is all you dreamed that it would be!
