Global Educational Solutions Provider, Commercial Director - LATAM
An Inspired Search Case Study
Assignment
A global provider of educational solutions for schools was looking to invest in their LATAM operation. Seeing unrealised potential in the region’s growth, they were seeking to appoint a leader, based in territory, to drive a successful commercial strategy utilising both their in-depth local knowledge and team development capabilities. Key to the success of this hire would be the individual’s ability to operate as part of a global leadership team, extrapolating the wider strategic aims into their local plans.
Solution
Inspired Search conducted a full executive search process, researching the talent market of K-12 and ELT commercial leaders in the LATAM region. This was a covert headhunting process, without advertising.
This breadth of search identified over 70 profiles, c. 20 were approached and screened for appetite to move and competency for the role. Following in-depth interviews with the longlist, Inspired Search presented a shortlist of five, all of which were interviewed and three taken forward. The work did not stop there, however, and throughout the project, there was a constant harvesting of new talent ideas from Inspired Search, presented to the client.
Result
Through in-depth research, Inspired Search reached profiles unknown to the client who had done some ground-work prior to engaging us. Inspired Search’s thorough interviews allowed for careful selection of profiles who were able to drive the growth-strategy specifically, as well as having the requisite market knowledge. The preferred candidate was secured within 24h of the offer being extended and has made immediate impact in post.
