An Inspired Search Case Study

The role would be a leadership role, working across the full spectrum of divisions within the business, driving transformation and innovation. Solution

Inspired Search conducted a full executive search process, researching the talent market from both within publishing and outside of the industry, the latter focussing on other IP focussed sectors such as news and entertainment. This was a covert headhunting process, without advertising.

This breadth of search identified over 170 profiles, c. 30 were approached and screened for appetite to move and competency for the role. Following in-depth interviews with the longlist, Inspired Search presented a shortlist of six, four of which were interviewed and three taken forward to final stages.

Result

Through a highly consultative dialogue with the publisher regarding the remit of the role itself, Inspired Search helped define the brief before conducting intensive research. With a selection of very strong finalists, the client was able to make an intentional choice over whom to offer the position, assessing the strategic needs of the business. The preferred candidate was secured and has made immediate impact.
