A fantastic new training course is being offered by the ALPSP on Effective Recruitment, Development Retention. This is a virtual event running across 31 October and 1 November and there is still time to sign up.
In the recent and current economic and labour environment, recruiting and retention is a different and even more urgent challenge than it usually is. This course will offer managers, both new and experienced, and those with responsibility for hiring staff new and sharpened tools to attract and retain talent. As an industry, how do we get better at reaching out to more unfamiliar channels and recruit and retain the right people for the job, no matter their background. Also we need to learn new skills in providing induction training remotely.
It will include content on:
- Current job market, hiring trends
- Recruitment & Talent strategy.
- Recruitment best practises.
- Attracting talent.
- Diversity, equity and inclusion in recruitment practise.
- Talent Management
- Career Frameworks
- Approaches to Training & Development
- Progression & Retention
- Team and company culture
The course will be highly interactive with publishing specific case studies, break out rooms, networking and lots of time for Q&A.
This course is aimed at new and experienced hiring, line managers and HR staff. For those experienced in their roles it will act as a refresher and update on new hiring procedures.
Our Search Director, Abigail Barclay will be a tutor on this course alongside co-tutor, James Waller – AVP Sales at Sage.
