A top Academic book publisher is seeking a Head of Higher Education Development to drive and maximise sales within the library area of the business. The role is field-based with occasional trips to head office in Norwich. The company offers an excellent salary and benefits package.



Reporting to the Executive Director-Library Sales, the main purpose of the Head of Higher Education Development is to play a proactive role in formulating and successfully implementing the Library Services sales strategy whilst evolving the Library approach in accordance with the changing landscape. They will role model the development of key relationships and sales for the print and digital offering, whilst also promote the philosophy of a customer centric business and drive sales and business growth in accordance with the agreed sales targets.They will also be responsible for motivating the sales team and encouraging a high performance ethos and culture.



The ideal candidate will be a customer-focused, strategic sales leader with an excellent understanding of the book trade and ordering cycles. You will have proven experience of leading teams to success and driving efficiencies. Alongside excellent presentation and problem solving skills, you will be a composed and enthusiastic team player with the ability to communicate at all levels.
