Marketing Manager (Open Access)
Marketing Manager (Open Access) | Academic | Beijing. A leading, global academic publisher is looking to appoint an experienced Marketing Manager who will be responsible for the development, promotion and attraction of submissions to their Open Access journal publishing in China.
Based from their Beijing offices, the core of this position will be in promoting their Open Access journals to the academic research community and in playing a pivotal role in evolving marketing strategies with their network of Chinese authors.
This is an excellent opportunity for an academic marketing candidate to input into the direction, scope and development of the position which will grow in line with the growth of Open Access journals in China.
* Supporting the Director of Marketing in implementing the marketing strategy for open access .
* Monitor open access market developments in China, including competitor activities.
* Analyse open access revenues and other performance measures.
* Identify high-impact authors within China.
* Build effective long-term & strategic relationships.
* Lead, performance manage and monitor your direct reports.
You will have a proven track record in a similar marketing role, and an understanding of the open access market within academic publishing. Excellent organisation and communication skills will be important as will your experience of successfully managing a product portfolio. Candidates must be fluent in Mandarin with good business English skills and will have strong people management experience.
