Our client, a leading international company that offers content management and transformation solutions to educational publishers globally, has an exciting new role of Editorial Manager based in their Reading office (flexible working offered). This role is responsible for the management of editorial projects for the Schools market.

With editorial management responsibility for all Content Development projects for the Schools market, duties will include: developing client proposals, including costs, workflow and resources, and ensuring that outputs are delivered efficiently and effectively; selecting and allocating content and editorial resources for the Schools projects whilst maintaining the established margins; overseeing the Editorial Project Managers working on Schools projects, and manage the work carried out by content and editorial resources; lastly, the Editorial Manager will also be responsible for the seamless integration of this content and editorial work with the Designers, Illustrators and Editorial Project Managers. Editorial work may also be carried out by the Editorial Manager, as and where appropriate, including: development editing, content editing, copy editing and proofing.

With proven experience of developing educational content in the ELT or Schools market, the ideal Editorial Manager will be a customer-focused decision maker with strong editorial skills and excellent time management, communication, listening, and organisational skills and the ability to set priorities and meet deadlines. You will have high attention to detail and good problem-solving skills and ability to exercise independent judgement.
