Our client is a society publisher based in London who are now looking for a Head of Sales & Marketing for a 12 month contract to start in June 2020.

They publish a mix of books and journals for academic and scientific audience. They are now looking to recruit a Head of Sales and Marketing to come and lead the team and organisations commercial activities for the next 12 months. Reporting to the Managing Director, you will be responsible for driving all sales across both subscriptions and licenses. Experience in structuring complex licensed deals is preferred. You will be managing a small team so people management will be essential. You will also be self-motivated with strong analytical skills.

The preferred candidate will come with a background in sales and licensing within an STM or Academic journals and books. You will be able demonstrate a deep understanding of Open Access and able to successfully structure and close complex agreements such as read and publish.

You will be solutions focused and highly organised and able to run a team successfully. You will be proactive, self-motivated as well as great at people management. You must be numerical and great with excel as well as being able to read data.
