A leading educational publishing organisation has an opportunity for a Product Owner working in a fast-paced, international publishing team to be responsible for the publishing technology of a portfolio of digital products, their developments and the related product management efforts. The role can be based remotely initially from the UK, or The Hague (Netherlands), and offers an excellent salary and benefits package.
The Product Manager will lead and co-lead collaborative teams across disciplines, departments and global locations to deliver educational products that support schools worldwide. As Product Owner of the company's enterprise content management system (ECMS), this role facilitates the platforms which support content and product creation and their delivery in multiple languages through the entire content lifecycle of the product publication process. The Product Owner will be the publication technology expert, in particular in the areas of content modelling and management, and editorial production, whilst exhibit subject-matter expertise, as well as knowledge of the competitive marketplace, and awareness of educational technology (EdTech) trends. Importantly, the Product Owner will ensure that products meet quality standards, creativity, and market expectations, and that they are produced within schedule and on budget.
With extensive experience of working in an Agile / Scrum environment and excellent stakeholder management skills, the Product Owner will possess knowledge of and proven experience with publishing technologies (e.g. Alfresco, MarkLogic, eXistdb, FontoXML, Oxygen, SmartLogic, PoolParty) either as an advanced user or Product Owner. The ideal candidate will have a track record in managing complex digital publishing projects to successful completion. Remote working across the UK can be considered for candidates open to relocating to The Hague at somepoint in the future.
