Sales Account Manager
Our client, a leading professional organisation serving the library market is seeking a Sales Account Manager to cover the North of the UK. Based within this territory, the Sales Account Manager will successfully lead and coordinate the sales activity for this territory introducing their cloud-based software to the academic and public library sector.
It will be your responsibility to develop, manage and increase business in both the long and short term with major accounts, in addition to identifying new target market opportunities. Main duties will include proactive account management (including new and renewal business), maintaining a good working knowledge of products, developing and maintaining relationships with libraries and stakeholders using a consultative style and representing the business at key conferences, exhibitions and seminars.
The successful candidate will have solid field sales experience in the publishing, academic or library industries and proven success in selling and closing customers, creating value, and managing a pipeline. The ideal candidate will be a focused team player with a collaborative approach and have a high level of enthusiasm, with strong influencing and negotiation skills along with the ability to professionally build and maintain strong relationships with a diverse blend of personalities and levels of authority. Furthermore you will have the capacity to learn and build a strong understanding of our clients services and products in order to offer a consultative approach to your clients.
