Temporary Production Controller - Immediate Start!

If you have four colour illustrated book production experience and are available, please contact me as soon as possible as this role will be starting immediately for 6 months.

We have a fantastic opportunity for someone with Production experience to join an independent, award winning children's trade publisher in Central London. We are looking for an experienced Production Controller who can assist with an exciting project.

As a Production Controller, you will join a busy and friendly team and be responsible for your own list of new books and reprints, including colour book production whilst working with suppliers worldwide. You will work closely with colleagues in Editorial and Design. You will be responsible for managing titles, schedules and budgets, quality checking products and ensuring that files are up to date and play a key part as the company continues to grow through the timely delivery of high-quality products.

To be considered for the Production Controller role you will need to demonstrate the following skills and experience:

  • Book Production/Printing Experience
  • A good understanding of typesetting, reproduction and print technology
  • Knowledge of Biblio3 (desirable)
  • Strong numeracy skills
  • The ability to work to tight deadlines
  • A good understanding of typesetting, repro and print technology is a prerequisite
  • An eye for detail
  • Teamwork skills
  • A 'can-do' attitude especially when things get busy!
