We're thrilled to announce an exciting new opportunity within a well-established trade publishing company. Currently, our client is in search of a Royalties Executive to join them in a fixed-term role lasting approximately 12 months. This position offers full remote work flexibility with occasional visits to their London office.

In this role, you'll be a key player in managing the transition to an in-house system whilst handling various administrative tasks within the finance department, including statements, advances, sub-rights, and inquiries.

Your main responsibility will revolve around ensuring accurate data input and maintenance in the new system, aligning it seamlessly with the existing royalty system. Collaboration with the editorial team will be pivotal, allowing you to gain a deep understanding of author and agent-related issues and addressing them in a timely manner.

Primarily, this position will provide crucial support to the finance team. You'll assist in processing advances, rights income, and royalties promptly. This will include generating and verifying semi-annual royalty statements within specified deadlines. Furthermore, you'll take charge of monthly tax reporting, encompassing both VAT and withholding tax documentation, while also promptly addressing inquiries from authors and agents. This role is hands-on and demands meticulous attention to detail.

To excel in this position, you should have prior experience in publishing royalties and the ability to oversee the transition of royalty metadata to the new system, Biblio. This involves a thorough review of all active contracts and validation of royalty rates in accordance with individual contract terms. Additionally, you'll ensure the prompt addition of all rights and sub-rights contracts and agreements to the royalty system, keeping it up-to-date with any changes and promptly addressing client queries.

Accuracy in maintaining client details and contract amendments in the rights database systems is vital, as is the collection of royalties from overseas publishers. Moreover, you'll occasionally provide analytical support to agents as needed. If you feel this role ticks all the right boxes the pls do get in touch.
