Calling all EdTech / SAAS / Publishing sales professionals with German language fluency! A rare new opportunity has arisen for a results-driven Senior Business Development Manager, DACH (German speaking), to join a highly successful publishing software services and education technology supplier, who work with global educational publishers (including ELT publishers), EdTechs, International Schools, Private Language Schools and Ministries of Education all around the world. This is a permanent, home-based / fully remote position offering a competitive salary package. The ideal candidate will be based in the UK, Germany, Austria or Switzerland.

The main remit of the Senior Business Development Manager, DACH role is to drive sustainable financial growth through boosting sales of products in existing and new markets, as well as forging strong relationships with clients across the region. Responsibilities include (amongst others):

  • Develop key new business sales strategies, tactics and action plans for the region
  • Successful execution of these strategies to achieve or exceed targets
  • Build and maintain a strong pipeline that will lead to sales success
  • Provide transparency on progress to support accurate revenue forecasting
  • Identify emerging markets and market shifts
  • Understand customer trends and convert them into sales opportunities
  • Build meaningful and sustainable customer relationships
  • Liaise closely with colleagues cross-functionally in order to achieve objectives effectively

and support the product evolution

  • Make full use of existing data to leverage success

Alongside demonstrated commercial success in the B2B software or SAAS solutions space, selling into the Publishing or Education sectors, the ideal Senior Business Development Manager for DACH will have an understanding of the complexity of selling technology solutions into a global publisher, and possess the ability to develop strong, consultative, c-suite level relationships with key decision makers. You will be digitally savvy, and aware of the latest trends and developments. An ability to work autonomously, remotely, whilst prioritise key accounts and new business opportunities as well as provide accurate sales forecasts will also be important. The Senior Business Development Manager will have top-notch communication and presentation skills (with C1 level fluency in English and German), and be a self starter with a results-driven approach and a passion for sales and digital education / EdTech.
