Our client is a global professional membership body operating within the legal sector; they are now seeking a Managing Editor to join their team responsible for delivering on the editorial production of their bi-monthly magazine, and quarterly publication.

This is a hybrid role, working 37.5 hours a week with a minimum of one day in the London office - our client offers fantastic benefits including private healthcare, a generous holiday allowance and flexible working.

Supported closely by an Assistant Editor and Graphic Designer; the Managing Editor will be responsible for producing high quality publications, on time, and on budget - always using their initiative to come up with new ideas, and develop new content that will engage and inspire their members. These publications are delivered 100% digitally via their content management system (CMS). On a day to day basis you will be planning and scheduling content; commissioning articles; conducting research; overseeing proofreading and editing where needed; managing stakeholders; and collaborating with internal teams of experts to deliver the publications.

The successful candidate will have proven experience in a similar role either working in professional or academic publishing, or in the b2b or b2c magazine sector - you must be comfortable working with technical content, and have the ability to pick up new areas quickly as well as demonstrate very strong accuracy skills. You will be required to immerse yourself in this industry and build an excellent network to create engaging, insightful content which inspire their members!
