
Content Manager, 12 month FTC

Our client is a highly prestigious professional membership body operating in the legal sector, they produce content around the wider issues that impact Law, as well as practical guides for solicitors and content to engage a broad market across magazines, the web, social media and video. They are now looking to hire a Content Manager to join the organisation on a 12 month fixed-term contract, responsible for managing two direct reports and leading the development of engaging, inspiring content for the company's premium members. This role offers excellent benefits and hybrid working, requiring 1 day a week and 2 days per fortnight in the company's London office.
Key responsibilities will include:
·Develop and deliver content strategies that drive engagement
·Oversee the creation or commissioning of high-quality content across print and digital, delivered on the web, for magazines, podcasts, video and graphic
·Lead, manage and develop a small, ambitious team, ensuring smooth and effective delivery of content outputs
·Personally manage one or more of the magazines, including the creation or commissioning of content, managing contributors and proofreading
·Day-to-day responsibility for the content budget, ensuring all projects are delivered to agreed costs, deadlines and standards
·Create or commission relevant and compelling written and audio-visual content, adopting a storytelling approach where appropriate to build engagement
The successful candidate will have strong B2B content and people management skills with proven experience in creating engaging and compelling content, using a variety of different print and digital formats. Knowledge of the print production process, from concept and planning to delivery and review will be pivotal in this role. Your content experience may have been gained from another editorial role, or perhaps a journalistic background, but it is really important you are able to demonstrate significant experience of identifying and creating compelling stories that engage different audiences. Experience in the legal sector is not at all essential, just an interest in creating relevant, engaging content both directly and through coaching a team.
