Temporary Purchase Ledger Assistant

We are working with a leading publisher of award-winning trade and academic books based in Central London to recruit a temporary Purchase Ledger Assistant for an immediate start.
 
Role details:
 
Hourly rate: £18.47 p/h (including holiday pay)
Location: London
Working hours: 9am - 5pm (1 hour lunch unpaid) Monday to Friday
 
In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring that the ledger function runs smoothly and efficiently, which will see you processing invoices, running BACS statements, dealing with expenses, managing supplier payments and reconciling supplier statements.
 
Key responsibilities:
 
·Ensuring all invoices are processed and authorised correctly and in a timely manner
·Resolving ledger queries
·Processing company credit card and expenses from staff
·Setting up supplier accounts, reconciling supplier statements and maintaining supplier account details
 
Who we're looking for:
 
We are on the lookout for a detail-oriented and experienced Purchase Ledger Assistant who has previously handled high-volume invoices and multi-currency transactions. The ideal candidate will have strong numeracy skills, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Proficiency in Excel and financial systems such as Dimensions or Focal Point is highly desirable. You should be highly organised, able to work independently, and confident in resolving ledger queries while maintaining accurate financial records. Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate with suppliers and internal teams will be key to success in this role.
