FTC 13 months Senior Production Controller

Our client, a leading name in publishing, is looking for an experienced and highly organised Senior Production Controller to join their Non-Fiction team on a maternity cover for 12 months based in central London. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in the production of both colour illustrated and mono titles across a diverse and dynamic list.
 
You'll work independently to manage projects from concept to final delivery, ensuring each title meets high standards of quality, budget, and schedule-while also supporting senior leadership and collaborating across teams.
 
Key Responsibilities:
 
·Oversee full production cycle for mono and colour titles
·Manage schedules, estimates, and budgets for multiple projects
·Liaise with printers and suppliers to maintain quality and timelines
·Ensure timely creation and delivery of frontlist eBooks
·Collaborate with internal teams and attend progress meetings
·Maintain accurate records and update production systems
 
The Ideal Candidate will bring a strong background in both mono and colour book production, with a clear understanding of the technical processes involved in print and digital formats. Comfortable managing multiple deadlines, you'll have excellent project management and communication skills, a sharp eye for detail, and a calm, solution-focused approach. Confidence with tools such as InDesign, PDFs, and production systems is key, alongside solid numeracy and a proactive mindset. A natural collaborator, you'll thrive in a fast-paced environment and take pride in delivering exceptional work.
