Rights Executive

Are you passionate about international book rights and eager to work with beautifully illustrated non-fiction and children's books? Do you love combining your language skills with your sales skills to connect stories with readers around the world?
 
We are super excited to be working with a prestigious London-based publisher and known for producing a stunning range of illustrated titles-covering history, travel, military and many more. With over 60 new books each year and hundreds of licences sold in more than 25 languages, this is your chance to join a lively and ambitious rights department with a truly global footprint. The role will be based in their Central London offices 2 days a week on a Tuesday and Thursday and working from home the remainder of the time.
 
What You'll Be Doing:
 
·Driving sales of co-editions and licences across exciting territories including Germany and Eastern Europe (territories tailored to your strengths)
 
·Negotiating contracts and managing agreements with care and precision
 
·Keeping royalty statements, advance copies, tax certificates, and payments on track
 
·Exploring new markets and building fresh international contacts
 
·Representing the company at major events such as the Frankfurt and London Book Fairs, plus a few sales trips throughout the year
 
·Working alongside a friendly, focused team in our London office, where collaboration and energy thrive
 
Who You Are:
 
·Experienced in rights sales within illustrated book publishing, with a genuine enthusiasm for the international market
 
·Fluent in at least one foreign language (German or Polish is a definite plus)
 
·Exceptionally organised, proactive and eager to get stuck in
 
·Enjoy working in a small team and travelling abroad for sales meetings and fairs
 
·Someone who thrives on variety, challenge, and making things happen
