New Business Sales Manager
Inspired is partnering with a leading independent academic publisher seeking a New Business Sales Manager to drive growth across a new digital platform and other innovative products.
This role is ideal for a driven and proactive sales professional who thrives on finding, developing, and closing new opportunities in the academic and corporate space. You will be at the forefront of introducing the publisher's new platform and latest product acquisitions to new customers, and play a crucial part in positioning them as the go-to partner for organisations looking to access cutting-edge research.
Role Details
Location: Remote-based in UK with occasional travel
Salary: £40,000-£45,000 + uncapped commission and amazing benefits
Contract: Permanent, full-time
About the Role
As New Business Sales Manager, you will own the full sales cycle for new innovative products and act as the bridge between new solutions and the market. Your key responsibilities will include:
·Identifying, prospecting, and pitching to new leads, while developing long-term relationships with new and existing clients
·Owning the full sales cycle from prospecting to close
·Building and managing a UK-focused pipeline across academic, research, and corporate sectors
·Leading consultative sales conversations and craft tailored proposals
·Collaborating cross-functionally to refine offerings and ensure client success
·Representing the brand at events and consistently hit sales targets
The Ideal Candidate
We are seeking a confident, results-driven sales professional with a strong track record in new business development, preferably in B2B or solution-based environments. You will excel at managing the full sales cycle, from prospecting to close, and bring sharp commercial insight to position new products effectively. Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills are essential, along with self-motivation and resilience. Experience in higher education publishing, digital content, EdTech, or professional services is highly desirable.
