Are you an experienced international sales professional looking for your next challenge within a leading trade publisher? Our client is seeking a talented and strategic Head of International Sales to manage distribution across North America and drive global sales growth across a diverse and dynamic publishing list.
In this key role, you'll act as a divisional lead within the international sales department, building strong relationships across internal teams and global markets to maximise sales opportunities across print, digital and audio formats. You'll develop and implement effective distribution and sales strategies, identify new market opportunities, and play a vital part in the acquisitions, budgeting and forecasting processes.
Key responsibilities include:
·Managing distribution of trade and children's titles across the North American market
·Acting as divisional lead for international sales, developing strategy and maximising global sales opportunities
·Driving process improvements and efficiencies to ensure effective distribution via the US office
·Collaborating with digital and audio teams to grow international eBook and audio sales
·Contributing to acquisitions by providing market insights, sales analysis and forecasts
·Conducting competitive market analysis to inform sales and publishing strategy
·Attending international book fairs and key industry events (approx. 3 weeks per year)
About you:
·Proven experience in international trade book sales, ideally with exposure to the Indian or North American markets
·Strong negotiation, communication and presentation skills
·Highly analytical, confident with forecasting, budgeting and sales data
·Proficient in Excel, PowerPoint and Word
·Strategic, adaptable and commercially driven with a collaborative approach
