Marketing and Publicity Manager

We are really excited to be partnering with a values led independent publisher who is seeking a Marketing and Publicity Manager to help champion authors and deliver thoughtful and effective campaigns. This role suits someone who enjoys working closely with writers, building strong relationships and creating imaginative marketing and publicity activity.

The Role
You will oversee publicity, marketing and events across a varied list of titles. This includes securing media coverage, planning author events, supporting digital activity and strengthening visibility across all channels.
 
Key Responsibilities
·Build positive and supportive relationships with authors and agents
·Create and deliver publicity campaigns across print digital and broadcast media
·Pitch interviews and features and maintain active journalist contacts
·Plan and deliver at least eight author events each month
·Develop marketing plans for frontlist and backlist titles
·Manage email marketing and improve website performance including SEO
·Create and optimise advertising across Facebook Instagram and Amazon
·Track campaign results and share clear insights
 
What You Bring
 
·Experience in marketing or publicity in publishing or a related creative sector
·Strong communication skills and confidence when working with authors and the media
·Understanding of digital marketing including email SEO and paid social activity
·Organised proactive and calm under pressure
·A genuine love of books and an interest in inclusive purposeful publishing
