Editor / Senior Editor
Magic Cat
Location: Central London (hybrid; 2-3 days per week in-office)
Contract: Full-time | Permanent

Working across graphic novels, gift-led anthologies and illustrated young readers, you'll commission and edit visually distinctive projects, develop brilliant creative talent, and help define the direction of Magic Cat's growing list, creating books that children reach for again and again.

What you'll be doing:

·         Commission and edit high-quality, visually led children's publishing across agreed formats
·Run multiple projects end-to-end, briefing, scheduling, problem-solving and delivering to deadline

What we're looking for:
·         Proven editorial experience in children's and/or illustrated publishing (or adjacent formats)
·         Excellent editorial taste and a clear sense of what resonates with 6-10s
·A confident, collaborative approach, commercially minded, highly organised, and excellent with stakeholders

If you're an editor with sharp visual instincts, high standards, and the confidence to help build a list with real momentum, then this a role for you. This is a rare chance to take meaningful ownership and deliver books that stand out on shelf and online.
