Policy and Communications Executive

We have a fantastic opportunity for a Policy and Communications Executive to join a leading professional services organisation for the publishing industry, based in Central London on a hybrid basis, 2 days a week in the office.
 
Reporting into the Head of Policy and Communications, this role will play a key part in supporting the organisation's public affairs, policy development and external communications activity. You will contribute to influencing policy outcomes, building relationships with key stakeholders, and communicating the organisation's priorities to a broad external audience.
 
This is a varied and hands-on role, supporting across policy research, briefing preparation and stakeholder engagement. You will assist in drafting responses to government consultations, preparing correspondence for political and industry stakeholders, and monitoring developments across the UK policy landscape. You will also support external communications activity, including writing engaging content for policy updates, newsletters and digital channels, as well as assisting with campaigns and events linked to policy priorities.
 
We are looking for a strong communicator with excellent writing skills, high attention to detail and a proactive approach. You will be highly organised, able to manage multiple priorities, and comfortable working both independently and as part of a small, collaborative team. An understanding of UK policy and political processes is important, along with an interest in the publishing or creative industries.
 
The successful candidate will have around some proven experience in a communications, policy, public affairs or related role.
