Our client is a highly respected not-for-profit organisation at the heart of the global research community, and they are looking for an Editorial Administrator to join their journals team, based in Cambridge. This role is based hybrid, 3 days per week in the Cambridge offices and 2 days remote.

The Role
Working as part of a collaborative journals team, you will play a key role in supporting the editorial and peer review process across a portfolio of scientific publications. Responsibilities will include managing manuscript submissions through an online tracking system, liaising with authors, reviewers and editors, maintaining accurate records, coordinating publication-related workflows and ensuring deadlines are met throughout the editorial process.
You will also provide administrative support to senior editorial colleagues, assist with reporting and journal statistics, help maintain team coverage across multiple publications, and contribute to a range of projects as required. This is a busy and varied position that would suit someone who enjoys organisation, problem-solving and working with a wide range of stakeholders.

·Previous administrative experience within an office-based environment, ideally within editorial / publishing
·A good understanding of Microsoft Excel skills and confidence working with databases
·Excellent organisational and time management abilities
·High attention to detail
·Strong written and verbal communication skills
·Ability to manage multiple priorities and work accurately under pressure
·A proactive and adaptable approach to work

About You
You will be a motivated and detail-oriented administrator who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and delivering excellent service to internal and external stakeholders. You're equally comfortable managing routine processes and responding to ad hoc requests, with the confidence to take ownership of your workload and identify ways to improve efficiency. A background in publishing, scholarly communications or a scientific environment would be advantageous but is not essential.

Company
Our client is a mission-led publishing organisation with an international reputation for supporting the dissemination of high-quality research and advancing knowledge within the scientific community. They foster a collaborative culture and are passionate about making a positive impact through their publishing programmes and wider initiatives.
