Sales Account Executive (Japan) | 8M-9M Japanese Yen per annum plus uncapped commission | Remote, Japan-based

Our client is a global provider of science and education solutions, supporting universities, researchers and educators worldwide. They are seeking a Sales Account Executive to drive growth across Japan, helping academic institutions adopt innovative digital learning and research products.

This is a remote role based in Japan, with regular travel to universities and academic institutions (approximately 5-6 days per month). Tokyo-based candidates are preferred, but location is flexible.

The Role
Managing your own territory, you'll develop relationships with researchers, faculty, librarians and other academic stakeholders while overseeing the full sales cycle.
Responsibilities include:
·Growing and developing a portfolio of university customers
·Generating new business opportunities and expanding existing accounts
·Delivering online and in-person product demonstrations
·Managing opportunities through CRM systems
·Attending conferences, events and customer meetings across Japan
·Working closely with marketing and commercial colleagues to achieve sales targets

About You
We're looking for a motivated sales professional with:
·Experience in EdTech, SaaS, STEM publishing or a related sector
·Fluency in Japanese (written and spoken)
·Strong presentation, relationship-building and negotiation skills
·Experience using CRM systems such as Salesforce or HubSpot
·A proactive, target-driven approach
