Assignment

Inspired Search was retained by Gallic Books & Belgravia to source a new Managing Director as part of the succession plan to the existing MD. The business is comprised of an independent trade publisher and a London based bookshop and needed a new MD to run both entities. 

Solution

Inspired Search managed a full executive search process, mapping the market for relevant talent across trade publishing, retail and distribution. 180 profiles were identified. Following c. 40 confidential approaches screening calls, and initial interviews by Inspired Search, two high calibre candidates were shortlisted to interview with the current incumbent. 

Result

Following a successful two-stage interview process with Gallic, a candidate was selected and appointed as the new MD. In the role they quickly made a positive impact to processes and systems, enhanced the company’s sustainability position and recruited relevant talent.
